The truth of the model is its own caricature, and this reveals the lie of its false perfection. Seeing ourselves, thus, as caricatures, we understand: we are mirrors of the deformity that the Model conceals. Life as a parody of life; a laughable path where the idea of suicide haunts even the infant. From laughter, the tragic is observed. The tragedy—which begins in parody, continues in caricature, and results in the grotesque—yields its place to these three forms and merges with them in a violent carnival. And being tragic for being comic, and comic for being tragic, in this labyrinth of horror and laughter, let our guide be the morality of the jester: his antics.
